It’s that most wonderful time of the year! Santa Claus is coming to town! Join us on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1-3pm for FREE photos with Santa! This event is FREE and open to the public on a first come, first served basis. We have our special guest photographer, Sam G. to snap photos! You are welcome to take your own photos on your camera or phone too! All photos will be uploaded to this Facebook page for you to retrieve!

We are thrilled to host a Gingerbread house decorating event on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please call 401-536-2151 to register your child. Each child will receive their own free gingerbread house to decorate! We pre-assemble the houses and provide all decorating materials. The children will provide their creativity! THIS IS A FREE EVENT for children 6 to 12 years old.
PC Friars is hosting a Toy Drive to benefit Esperanza-Hope Non-Profit Organization, on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the men’s basketball game PC vs. URI. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm at the Amica Mutual Pavillion Providence. Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game to benefit children in Rhode Island. Be part of the spirit of giving and help those in need this holiday season!

Please inform us of any family in need. Like the prior years, we will provide each adopted family with a whole Turkey and a Thanksgiving meal basket, that includes everything they need for a full Thanksgiving meal, so they are able to cook it together as a family. We are asking the people who would like to adopt a family to prepare the Thanksgiving meal basket or to make a monetary donation and we will prepare the basket. Thank you in advance for your support.

Let’s help those in need! Coat Drive on October 22nd from 9AM to 12PM at Roger Williams Park, Casino Parking Lot. Please bring your gently used men’s, women’s and children’s winter coats, hats and gloves. Donations will provide assistance to individuals and families facing adversities in our communities.
The Esperanza-Hope Art Exhibition will be featuring the Masterpieces that were created by children between the ages of 7 and 14, during the Esperanza-Hope free art program. These master pieces are filled with colors, laughs, positivity, and love. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from RISCA the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly; City of Providence; Neighborhood Health Plan of RI; The Papitto Foundation; Roger Williams Gateway Center; The Family Cake; Joel Tavarez Photography.

Housing/Homelessness prevention: We will continue to provide support to the homeless in RI by providing them cooked-hot meals and personal care items. In addition, we will continue to help underprivileged families who are in housing, but at risk of becoming homeless.
